That's why I love what I do so much. Capturing this new chapter in my clients' lives so that they can remember forever is such an honor that I don't take lightly.

When I started as a photographer in 2014, I instantly felt a soft spot for capturing the newborn stage. Ever since then, I've put my heart and soul into learning all of the best approaches to newborn photography, and I pride myself on giving my clients a laid back and meaningful newborn photo experience. I provide both in home lifestyle photography for those who wish to stay at home, and I also welcome clients who prefer into my large, neutral, natural light filled studio in Washougal, Washington.

So, what's the process?
Session day. You're prepped and ready to dote on your sweet baby for some photos. Don't worry, because I'll be directing you every step of the way so you know just what to do. We'll keep it relaxed and calm, follow your baby's lead, and capture beautiful moments for you to treasure for a lifetime.
I'll make preparing for your session simple and stress free with my Session Guide full of ways to get the most out of your session, plus my Style Guide and online styling tool to make figuring out what to wear so much less stressful.

If you think I might be a good fit for your family, reach out in the contact form here and be sure to share the session type you're interested in. I'll get back to you as soon as possible so that we can set a date and discuss details.

2-3 weeks after your session, you'll receive your images in an online viewing gallery where you'll select your favorite images for download, share with the world, and order from a wide variety of professional print products if you choose! You'll also receive a print release so that you can print your images however you'd like.

Newborn
All members of your immediate family are welcome and encouraged to be included. Newborn sessions generally take anywhere from 1.5-3 hours. We work on your baby's timeline - with breaks to be fed, changed, or consoled. We follow their lead and take photos when they are ready - we don't stress about the clock.

Newborn sessions with me take on a lifestyle, natural approach. I want you to look back on your images and remember how it felt to hold that sweet babe in your arms, how soft their fuzzy little cheeks felt against yours, how tiny their little bottom was in the palm of your hand as you patted them to sleep, and to almost be able to smell that sweet newborn smell.

My Washougal, WA studio is a timeless and neutral space perfect for maternity, newborn, milestone, and family sessions. With over 700 square feet on the second floor of a modern and secured building, it's a comfortable and welcoming space that allows for ample room to capture families and also take a break mid shoot if needed (insert new big brother or sister toddler who needs a moment). Three large, floor to ceiling windows draped in sheers give the space beautiful natural light, even on a perfectly gloomy PNW day. Baby clients have their pick of a timeless and neutral wardrobe to make newborn and milestone sessions easy as can be, and Moms have their pick of my thoughtfully selected dresses. All in all....it's pretty darn dreamy!

I recommend getting on my schedule a few months before your due date to ensure that I will have availability, but also so that you'll have plenty of time to plan for outfits. Because you don't know exactly when your baby will arrive, it's impossible to know when to schedule your session for. This is why I initially book my newborn clients for their due date. This just acts as a place holder and reminder to me that sometime in the weeks surrounding that date, we will be holding your session. Once your baby is born, I ask that you reach out ASAP so that we can find the best date for everyone's schedules. : ) Sometime within the first two weeks is recommended if you'd like to try for sleepier photos of your baby.
Don't worry! I am here to make picking outfits for everyone as stress free as possible. With my Styling Guide and access to Style and Select, dressing your family is actually really fun! I also offer a client wardrobe of dresses for moms, as well as classic, neutral, and sweet outfits for your newborn. I am also here for any help or advice you need along the way.
Your home does not need to be magazine worthy to be the perfect place for your lifestyle session. A perfect home is different for everyone, but one thing is certain. Your home is where the beauty of your everyday life unfolds. In-home sessions are deeply personal, meaningful, and heart warming. They'll transport you back in time to this stage in your life more so than any other session because they capture the intimate details of your simplest, purest of moments together as a family. Your children will look back on the images and see the home they grew up in, the nursery that you worked so hard to create for them, and the gatherings spaces in your home where you made so many memories together. Your home doesn't need to be perfectly clean either! Instead we'll discuss the best rooms in your home with good window light, and you can work on decluttering just those spaces.
